The Hanjiang Theater is located in the south side of
Hanjin, soth is adjacent to Binjiang Avenue, and east
besides the Guihua Road,the total area is 20000 ㎡
and represents as a right-angled trapezoid.
Since the site area is limited, the design is based on
the concept of origami roof to focus on the “fifth facade”
as the design point, in order to repay the occupied
ared by the theater to the city and provide citizens daily
actives with more space. The main facade of the
theater is facing Hanjin river, connected with the coast-wise landscape to represent. There are three level of
the origami roof. The bottom floor is on the same level
of the main entrance, therefore without entering into
building,pedestrian can board the primary platform
through the first ramp. The concept that platform
connected with ramp originates from The Center Plaza
of Montepaschi Siena (Italy) and The Pompidou Centre
Frontsquare of Paris (French), and offer infinite
possibility for outdoor activities. When continue
advances to east, there is the secondary platform to
be reache through ramp. Linked with the triangular
ramp and facing the fourth bridge of Hanjin River.The
third ramp is the exterior of the auditorium of Hanjin
theater is a natural outdoor performance stage for the
amateur who enjoy opera art.
